Not Okay Cupid

Review: Not Okay, Cupid - Heidi R. Kling - January 2016

Hazel McCallister had it all , she had gone from the geeky girl with glasses to having laser eye surgery ( which I want) to getting the perfect boyfriend and they have now been in a long term relationship and she has her best friend Kimberley aka Kimmy and Kimmy's annoying twin brother Felix. That is until a couple of weeks before the big Cupid Dance where she spots her best friend and her boyfriend together and not in a "just friends" sort of way either but in a "we are in a relationship and love each other" way. This breaks Hazel and soon Felix , the hero swoops in and concocts a plan with Hazel "the revenge dating plan" . Felix and Hazel start dating, but it sure seems real to both of them as the sparks fly , but neither can admit it . As the book goes on , we read as Jay and Kimmy's betrayal hurts Hazel and the chemistry between Felix and Hazel start to grow. What happens though when it seems like the plan might work as Jay asks Hazel to the Cupid Dance instead of Kimmy and who will Hazel pick as Felix has also sent her an invitation ? With the past weeks and spending time with Felix and away from Jay,  has this helped Hazel realise who she is meant to be with ?
Find out in this fun YA read about noticing that sometimes your Mr Right is not the one you think it is and that sometimes he has been hanging around you all along.
