Review: Truly, Madly, Deadly - Hannah Jayne

Review: Truly, Madly, Deadly - Hannah Jayne - July 2013

One of my favorite YA thriller authors is Hannah Jayne and this book was another great read. The book starts with Sawyer Dodd's boyfriend Kevin Anderson who has died in a car accident. People are expecting Sawyer to be torn up, she is in two minds on the night of Kevin's death -Sawyer had, had enough as Kevin was physically abusing her and she never told a soul. Back at school, Sawyer finds a note in her locker attached to Kevin's obituary - "You're Welcome". Was Kevin's death an accident or did someone kill him for her? Hannah slowly shrugs it off but then a teacher sexually harasses her and then he turns up dead, along with another note. As more people die who wronged Sawyer at one point and then her stepmother is hurt - this is starting to scare Sawyer. Who though can she turn to if she goes to the police, then bad things can happen to the ones she loves? I had an inkling but then when the killer was revealed, it did surprise me as to the direction that the story took.  Fans of Natasha Preston and Natalie D. Richards will love this author. If YA thrillers are your jam, then add Hannah Jayne to your must-read authors list.
