Review: Break My Fall - Chloe Walsh

Review: Break My Fall - Book #1 Broken Series - Chloe Walsh - January 2014

You know those types of big books that are like 700+ pages but doesn't feel like it as you are engrossed and reading it quickly. That was what Break My Fall was to me. This book was initially published in the beginnings of New Adult Fiction as that was in its prime between 2012 and 2014 years and it does show that this brought back memories of authors like Anna Todd with her After Series and Molly McAdams, Cora Carmack, and Tammara Webber. As I was reading this book it gave me vibes of Molly McAdams's book Sharing You which I read many moons ago. This book begins with Lee turning up on her best friend from back home - Cam's doorstep needing a place to crash as living with her dad any longer might just get her killed. Lee takes the spare room and starts a job cleaning at the Henderson Hotel. Lee also happens to catch the attention of roommate and house owner Kyle Carter. He is a hottie but a bit of a manwhore. He also has this weird romance bond thing going on with an evil b*tch named Rachel who with her nasty lies has him wrapped around her little finger. Kyle though can't help but be attracted to Lee and vice versa, but what will happen when Rachel puts thoughts into Lee's head and decides once and for all to take Kyle for herself? The angsty part in this book too is that Kyle is very much a freaking wimp as he is at Rachel's beck and call and believes her lies. Will Kyle finally find some balls and stand up to Rachel or will he have lost Lee forever when she ends up in hospital and he is nowhere to be found? Find out in Book #1 Break My Fall by Chloe Walsh. After reading this book, I am now eager to check out the other series by this author.
