Review: Australian Obsession - Book #99 A Man Knows What He Wants Series - Flora Ferrari - February 2019


After finishing Aggressive Russian, I was still in a Flora Ferrari type reading frame of mind so scrolled along and read Australian Obsession. This book should be called A Woman Knows What She Wants as in this particular one we have Elena who has been secretly stalking her brother Eric's friend Lachlan online and his social media. Feeling lonely back home in Kill Devil Hills and with nothing to lose, Elena hops on a plane to Australia and sets up a chance encounter with Lachlan and slowly worms her way into Lachlan's life and surprises her brother Eric who btw was definitely not happy to see her which makes you wonder why they aren't closer since it's just the two of them with their parents both deceased. He came across as such a spoilt a-hole as he threw major tantrums like a big child. With only a week to make this work, Elena tries hard to get Lachlan to fall in love with her, which of course she succeeds and wham bam we have our instalove story. I have to admit this particular story; I had trouble reading without cringing as it was so corny and very Australian- cliched like the author was trying so hard to make it Australian authentic that it became just OTT.  I did manage to finish it but will have to say that this was not a favorite of mine from Flora Ferrari.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
