Review: My Misadventures as a Teenage Rock Star - Joyce Raskin - June 2011

Have you ever dreamt of becoming a famous singer or musician ? Thinking how cool it would be to sing in a band and have all the popular guys lusting after you ? .
My Misadventures as a teenage Rock star is for every teenage girl who has wanted to do just that. Meet 14yr old Alexis , she is the invisible one who is -well thinks she is plain, fat and ugly. Until one day she is asked to join a Rockband as their gutarist and soon becomes her trip to Popularity. From being a nobody to becoming an Instant Celebrity , however being in a band is not just about as most people quote sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll. Being in the band for Alexis helped her discover who she really was ,  creating friendships and making a lasting impression. However as we know all dreams sometimes come to an end as remember Alexis is only fourteen and when the band hits big and goes on tour , Parents being annoying parents put their foot down.
Is this the end of Alexis short musician career or is it the beginning of something new as they say "when one door closes, another opens ".
For all those chicks out there wanting to learn guitar, My Misadventures as a Teenage Rockstar also includes a Beginners guide to the Guitar , which includes the parts of a guitar, how to strum the guitar , chords of a guitar , if writing's your thing - how to write song lyrics including the song that featured in the book "Hope" and many more .
This book is perfect for our "inner rockstars".
