Growing up Lainey Carson and Sydney Beaumont were the best of friends , they did everything together until they reached sixteen and Sydney had the world at her feet and chose to climb the popularity chain leaving Lainey behind. Fast forward 18 yrs and Lainey is now an artist living at home caring for her mother. When Lainey gets asked to paint a mural at the local occult store Six of Swords , the last person she expected to run into was none other than Sydney. Sydney is now a mother of a wee babe Jacqueline and in the middle of a nasty divorce. So when Sydney turns up at Lainey door hurt and begging her to look after Jacqueline , Lainey does just that . However when Lainey turns on the news that night , on screen is none other than Sydney proclaiming that Jacqueline has been kidnapped. Lainey, not having anyone to turn too, takes Jacqueline and changes her name to Molly and goes on the run. It is whilst she is on the run that she meets Alex, a good samaritan with secrets of his own. Can Lainey live her life as Leah and protect Molly or when the going gets tough, will she pass her back to Sydney ?
