Take Her Life: A Detective Nessa Ainsley Novella

Review: Take Her Life - Book #2 Nessa Ainsley Novella - Melinda Woodhall - July 2021

One of my favorite female mystery writers is Melinda Woodhall, so whenever I see any of her books - I want to read them straight away as I love connecting with the characters. This series takes us back to a time before Nessa came to Willow Bay PD and became Chief of Police. In a small town called Rosewood, Nessa works as a detective at Rosewood PD. In Take Her Life, someone is killing prostitutes and sex workers. Nessa and her partner are on the case but Nessa is finding it hard to return to work as the new Chief keeps putting her down and she can't help but think of her new baby Cole at home. Determined to make her way and prove to the new chief that women can be both mothers and police officers, Nessa will have to work harder than before and come up with a creative way to catch the killer before he/she kills again. If you love authors like Melinda Leigh, Kate Watterson, and Kendra  Eliott then you will love Melinda Woodhall.
