Review: What If Animals Were Balloons ? - Elizabeth Fequiere and Azusa McWilliams - 2022


This particular book I didn't realise this until I went to google to see where it was available is currently on Kickstarter and a current project earning money @ https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/animalswereballoons/what-if-animals-were-balloons-illustrated-childrens-book .

This very cute picture book has us meeting four animal friends who live together at the local zoo and love to have fun and play games, anything to fill their days and have great adventures. One day the friends decide to become like balloons and they find themselves floating toward the sky and bouncing along the marshmallow-type clouds and then eventually the animal friends find themselves exploring space and the different planets where they discuss the textures, colours, and facts about the planets. All before eventually returning down to earth and the zoo and turning in for the night before another action-packed day of adventure starting in the morning. What If Animals were Balloons? has very beautiful illustrations as well thanks to Azusa McWilliams and this book is perfect for children aged 4-9 years old.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost.
