Review: Love Theoretically - Ali Hazelwood ( Book#3)

Review: Love Theoretically - Book #3 Love Hypothesis Series - Ali Hazelwood - June 2023

Something that readers of my reviews will know is that I love quirky and geeky characters as I feel often I can relate to them. I might not be as academic as they are but I can be just as dense or awkward. I have loved this series and I do feel that as each book came along, they just got better and better. In Love, Theoretically, it's the world of Theoretical Physicists versus Experimental Physicists with Elsie and Jack. To help pay her way through graduate school, she joined a fake dating site where she pretended to be a fake girlfriend, and one of her clients was Greg Smith. She meets Greg's family and his awful brother who she feels is always judging her. The next thing she knows in her personal life is she is up for a dream job at MIT and one of the guys though is her nemesis who discredited her mentor Jonathon Turner-Smith but turns out Elsie knows Jonathon as Jack and he knows Elsie as a fake librarian, not a physicist. Will this stop Elsie from getting her dream job? As the story goes along, we learn about the hoax article that Jack published when he was seventeen and the reason behind it. The hoax article angle was loosely based on The Sokal Affair of 1996. I also loved how we saw Olive and Adam come back in this book and see how their story had evolved. The other thing I did like in this book was that Dr. L finally got his karma for taking credit and keeping Elsie back and for what he had done to other female scientists. I am now looking forward to reading the novella book which contains three stories called Loathe to Love You and then Ali Hazelwood's other book which is a Paranormal tale - Bride. If you love Steminist Romance, then check out Ali Hazelwood's series "Love Hypothesis" and guess what, you don't need to be an academic or scientist to enjoy them.
