Since COVID-19, the world of Podcasts has become more popular especially when it comes to true crime and serial killers, even cold cases have been solved. Now that world is being developed into books with stories being set around true crime podcasts and a small-town unsolved cold case. Prom Queen was one of those books and unlike Carrie where the Prom Queen was covered in pig blood and set fire to the gym, this Prom Queen died on Prom night wearing the crown. For twenty years it was written down as a suicide, but for a few of those who knew Bailey - they always thought someone had murdered her. Now Twenty years later, Hannah is in town and part of her crime podcast - she is doing an expose on the cold case that is Bailey as it is coming up to the twentieth anniversary and she also received an anonymous tip that one of her friends killed her. Hannah though is about to stir up old memories, old and new vendettas as the remaining classmates who all had a part to play are in town and they each have their suspicion of who the killer is and none of them want to be shown in a bad light as they all have jobs, grown-up and families. Can Hannah uncover the secret of who killed Bailey or will she be targeted and found dead before the answer is revealed?   Review: Punk 57 - Penelope Douglas - October 2016 As soon as I read Bully by Penelope Douglas, I was in love with this author. So when she released a new one who had my favorite theme of penpals and that whole friend to lovers going on, I knew I had to read it. The book started out with a bit of background where we learned about how Misha and Ryen were placed together in a classroom project penpal program. The pair continues to write to each other right through the year, and then they take it to the next level and continue through the rest of their schooling. Fast forward to high school Misha is in a band and Ryen is out with her friends and they complete a scavenger hunt form. Ryen is not what Misha expected especially from her letters.
