Pies & Prejudice (The Mother-Daughter Book Club, #4)

Review: Pies and Prejudice - Book #4 The Mother-Daughter Book Club Series - Heather Vogel Frederick - September 2010

It's about to be Freshman year for the girls in the Mother-Daughter Book Club and the year is looking exciting, and the girls are making plans. That is until Emma and Darcy's mother announces that the whole family is moving to England for a year and doing a house swap with a family from the UK.  The family is excited as it is the home of Jane Austen and many other authors but Emma's life has just got interesting as she has her first boyfriend Stephen and Jessica isn't happy with her crush - Darcy and best friend Emma moving. The club present Emma with a laptop, so that they can participate still in the Book Club sessions and since it was Emma's time to host - she and her mum pick one of Jane Austen's most famous books "Pride and Prejudice." As the story goes along, the group decide to make Emma's Christmas special by fundraising and getting her ticket to the States. Thus forms a pie-making business called Pies and Prejudice. Can the girls sell enough pies to see their friend Emma?
I loved this book as one of my dream vacations is to go to the UK as that is where the majority of Classic authors are from etc Jane Austen, Bronte Sisters, Shakespeare and Beatrix Potter and many more.....
If you are a girl aged 9-13 and love reading as much as the characters in this series do, then you will love The Mother-Daughter Book Club series by Heather Vogel Frederick.
