Review: Unforgivable - Mia Jones ( Broken Roses Series)

Unforgivable

Review: Unforgivable - Book #4 Broken Roses Novellas Series - Mia Jones - April 2021

After reading the first two in this series and enjoying them, even though they are each written by different authors. I decided to continue with the series and read Unforgivable by Mia Jones. This one I could relate to a bit as we meet our main female character Shay who has moved back to a small town which she never thought she would ever set foot again. She is only here as her mother is dying and doesn't have long left. Shay soon realizes that her mother leaves her what she can after her sister and Dad ripped and cleared her mother's savings out. Shay's sister Brooke reminded me of my own and when my Dad dies, I can only imagine the situation will be similar. Being back home also brought up some nasty memories for Shay as when she was in high school she was bullied and one of the worst bullies was Jayden.  Shay is about to get the surprise of her life though when she learns that Jayden was covering up his feelings by bullying her and in fact, he may very well be her soulmate. Unforgivable was a sweet yet edgy and quick read. I am now looking forward to reading the rest of the Broken Roses Novellas Series which has one main thread of Second Chances when it looks like there is no light at the end of the tunnel.
