Bob the Banana Goes Bad

Review: Bob the Banana Goes Bad - Steve Petzinger - April 2021

This cute story takes place in the world of Fridgeland where we meet Mr. Bagel our Fridge's mayor talking about food and how we will all be used one day and that our time will come where we proudly will be used for one of Mr. Abbott's meals. Along comes Bob the Banana though who has already started rotting and has attached a bad attitude as he believes he will never be good for anything. The other fruit and vegetables try and cheer him up but nothing seems to work and then one day, Bob goes missing and the Bagel Mayor starts a search party. During this time the fruit and vegetables bond together to find Bob the Banana. Then one day Mr. Abbott decides to show Bob that he does have a use, which leaves the vegetables cheering. Bob the Banana is a cute picture book filled with great illustrations which show readers that no matter what happens that every one of us has a purpose and that if we are patient good things will come to those who wait. Bob the Banana goes Bad is perfect for readers aged between 0-6 years.
