Follow Me Into the Dark

Review: Follow Me Into The Dark - Sara Schoen - February 2019

Remember the book What If ? by Rebecca Donovan and then Ginger Scott's A Boy Like You stories? The ones where the character was friends and then disappeared and years later they have resurfaced but with a new name and acting like they have no freaking idea what you are talking about? I love stories like that and Follow Me in the Dark was just as good. This book starts with Nate heading off to college, when he was in high school - a girl he didn't talk to but liked as he thought she was out of his league Zoey disappeared. The town said it was a case of runaways but Nate knew something felt off and always wondered what happened to the girl he knew. Now off at college, Nate is walking around with his friends when he spots a girl who is identical to Zoey - the thing is though her name is Izzy and she is looking at Nate like he is crazy. Nate though, convinced she is Zoey is determined to uncover the truth and what Izzy is hiding but will he like what he finds? What will happen when he gets too close to the truth and puts not only himself but Izzy in danger? If you love YA mysteries and thrillers, then Sara Schoen is the indie author for you as like her previous books I have read, Follow Me Into the Dark does not disappoint.
