Review: 10 out of 10 - Book #2 Miley the Monkey Series - Merlot G. Hopkins - March 2021


Going through my review list, sometimes I want a quick read. Something to hit the spot and also wanting to clear my devices. So, a picture book it was. Going in blind, I didn't know what Miley the Monkey was up to and assumed it might have been a counting book with the subtitle of 10 out of 10. This book is a cute baking story featuring Miley and his sibling and their grandmother. As we can see Miley is a bit of a cheeky hyperactive monkey and the other sibling a bit more reserved, but Miley still wants to help. The story has them baking banana (of course) cupcakes and going through the ingredients together and the final product is cupcakes rated 10 out of 10.  This book also includes the full recipe for Banana cupcakes at the back of the book, so they can be made after reading the story. This book is perfect for ages 3-6 years old.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old.
