Top Ten Tuesday : Most Inspirational Characters

Today's Top Ten Tuesday and my first one for 2011 is Top ten Inspirational Characters:

  1. Heidi - Johanna Spyri - As a little girl I loved the tale and Character of Heidi
  2. Pippi Longstockings - Astrid Lindgren - Have you ever met such a positive and optimist girl or person as a matter of fact
  3. Jane from Sundays at Tiffanys by James Patterson - She is one of the strongest and most romantic book characters I have met and one that I can associate myself with.
  4. Andrea Sachs - Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger- She is where I want to be eventually in life , working on a magazine.
  5. Elizabeth Bennett from Pride and Prejudice- One of my favourite characters from Jane Austen - She knows exactly what she wants and won't succumb to what society wishes her to become.
  6. Alice from Finding Alice - Melody Carlson - She is diagnosed with schizophrenia and this is her journey to recovery and it is so touching .
  7. Rachel from Rachel's Tears - Based on the journal of Rachel who died at the Columbine High School Shooting and is so touching and heartfelt.
  8. The Sister on My Sisters Keeper - The younger sister who goes to sue her parents as she wants her body for herself , not to be used for her sister's use only and at first they believe she is beig selfish and it turns out she is only acknowledging her sisters wishes.
  9. Christy from Christy by Catherine Marshall - A young 19yr old who goes to a small country town and becomes a teacher and an inspiration to the children in the village.
  10. Christy Miller and Sierra Jensen - Christy Miller and Sierra Jensen Series by Robin Jones Gunn - These two series start with the girls about 16yrs old and goes till their 20's and follows their journey and ups and downs with God. Its amazing , even though they are fictional characters to witness their relationship closeness with God.
