VBT# Billi Jean - Midnight Star & Silver's Chance

Today's VBT# author is Billi Jean with her two new hits out "Midnight's Star and Silver's Chance". This tour is on behalf of Sizzling PR.

Midnight Star - Billi Jean
Ranger is a werewolf, a Lykae with a problem. He's found his one true mate, the only female who can complete him. Only trouble is, he's denied his instinct to claim her. Now his mate hates him as much as she believes he hates her. He will have to risk both their lives to finally prove to his stubborn vampire he loves her?

Star is a half-breed vampire with a past of not being accepted because of her mixed blood. Ranger is just one more example of how much she doesn't fit into the immortal world no matter how much she tries to fool herself into believing otherwise. She's a strong female, a fighter, but when it comes to the opinions of others, she has no defenses. Why fight what she knows is true? She is a half breed, less than those around her. She has a home, friends and females she loves like family. Only trouble is, her family is now related to the mangy wolf man who hates her.

Silver's Chance - Billi Jean
When life throws Samantha a curve ball in the form of an ancient Lykae warlord bent on marking her as his—what's she going to do? Run like hell? Oh, yeah, that so worked the first time around. With Derrick hot after her tail, Samantha discovers being the hunted just might not be as bad as she thought.Derrick is a warlord hardened by centuries of battle. Now that he's free from years of torment, he discovers his mate. Only his beautiful little half wolf is as determined to deny him, as he is to claim her.As the battle to keep her safe intensifies, Derrick faces the biggest fight of his life: winning Samantha's heart and keeping alive long enough to claim her.

Author Guest Post : NANOWRIMO

So I when asked to blog at the Phantom Paragrapher, I thought, well, why not blog about something I love but many people struggle with? Writing. Especially the Nanowrite held each November by the National Writing Month http://www.nanowrimo.org/ .
I didn't realize it last year – my first year of the Nano Madness—but I'm one of those odd people that love the Nanowrite! I absolutely loved stacking up the word count each time I copied and pasted my words to the nanometer. I mean, it was addicting! I got so much of a thrill from seeing my word count grow, I would write for a few hours, copy, paste and have a little thrill, then go back to writing.
Okay, so for those of you who are wondering what I'm talking about, I'm talking about the crazy, mad dash to finish 40K in one month. That's 40,000 words – and if you think of breaking that up into pages, at around 250 words a page (approximately) that's around 160 pages, which in a month is like 4 pages a day…if you write every day!
I didn't approach the Nanowrite with this kind of thinking, though. I'm not much of a black and white kind of gal. I set out to write a tough story that had been waiting for me to grow the courage to write. Oh, at first I thought of editing Silver's Chance – my August 2011 novel in the Sister's of the Moon series – but then I thought about Tabithia, a tough, heartbreaking character, and knew the only way to get her story out was to ….you got it: write her story!
So I sat down and after some thought realized what I had to do was get the words on the page, not worry about what the story was like, where it was going, if I was using too many of the same words, phrases and so on, but simply fill that page. And that's what I did. I filled the page. Then the next, and next and next. I attacked A Spartan's Kiss with this method and by the time I got to the end of the 40K, I had the story down, or at least most of it. Some of it. The hard parts. 
The Nanowrite set my muse free – undeterred by worries over grammar, word choice, or usage. Well, to be honest, that's not exactly what held me back from writing A Spartan's Kiss. Tabithia was. She scared me. Absolutely intimidated me. Such a strong character, but felt at the same time fragile. Truly terrifying love story to write, but I had to write it. The nanowrite gave the opportunity to simply sit down and write a tough story by filling up the page. I'd do it again in a heartbeat, and actually I am doing it again. I mean, if I could tackle an abused woman-- afraid of herself, of men, of living, who sliced open her own flesh because the darkness inside had to come out --and show her through her adventures with a sexy Spartan desperate to feel alive that they were meant for each other than I think the experience of writing in the Nanowrite well worth the challenge. If you have the muse inside, and it simply needs the excitement of a challenge to break free, than I'd recommend the Nanowrite. Above all, you'll learn a great deal about yourself and your writing, after all, who knows what's simply waiting to burst free from your muse!
