Review: In the Dark - Danah Logan

In the Dark (The Dark #1)

Review: In the Dark - Book #1 The Dark Series - Danah Logan - May 2021

Not really knowing about this series but loving the blurb, I decided to go into the first book, and Wowza, this was an amazing start to the Dark Series and I didn't see this storyline coming. It blew me away with the way this story played out. The book starts with two siblings Lily and Rhys McGuire - something happened a few years ago and the two stopped talking and Rhys who once was Lily's biggest supporter and best friend moved out of the home. Now the pair are at the same school and Rhys still acts like she doesn't exist. The story gets exciting when Lily is tasked to do a news assignment for her journalism class. Lily not interested in politics or finance tales, decides to do a crime story and focuses on a kidnapper of young girls who is still to be caught. During the story, Lily starts to get migraines and visions - the more she reads articles. How can that be when nothing is familiar? About halfway through the novel, we read as Rhys comes back and spills the beans to Lily and that part was like OMFG what else have they kept Lily "in the dark" of? Book #1 ended on a major cliffhanger and I am now looking forward to reading Book #2 and continuing the story and I am hoping we will get all our answers to the questions we had in Book #1. If you love family stories and romantic suspense with an edge then In the Dark by Danah Logan is the read for you.
