Review: Kiss Me With Lies - S.M Soto

Kiss Me With Lies (Twin Lies, #1)

Review: Kiss Me With Lies - Book #1 Twin Lies - S.M Soto - December 2019
I had been waiting for this book ever since I saw the cover reveal and read the blurb as it sounded amazing and when it arrived on my device, I couldn't wait to hurry up and read it. OMG it did not disappoint as it had an amazing cliffhanger ending that blew me away and now I cannot wait for Book #2 to hurry up and be released. Kiss Me With Lies starts with two twins at a party - one beautiful but evil Madison and the other a bit more plain but with a heart of gold Mackenzie. Madison was her family's favorite and Mackenzie was like the spare twin they got lumped with. It is the end of year Senior party and Mackenzie has gone along with her friend Winnie. There she sees the five hottest guys of the school and one Trent has his eyes sit on her. Just as they are about to kiss though, Madison interrupts which causes Mackenzie to flee. Not before Trent whispers to her to meet him at the Kissing Rock. Except what happens is that Madison went instead and the next morning she is found murdered brutally. Mackenzie knows that the five guys killed her and had something to do with her death, the thing is though that in the town of Ferndale - they are untouchable and get away with it. Now Years later, Mackenzie has cut off all contact with her family and going as Kenzie and her new friends don't know her past. When she sees in a magazine a new club opened by the five guys, she and her friends go to check it out as Kenzie wants revenge for Madison's death. During the same weekend, she meets the owner of the hotel she is staying at and he is HOT stuff and feels a connection. Turns out though that the guy she has fallen for is in fact one of those five boys. Now Kenzie must juggle both her lives as she is determined once and for all to nail the boys for the death of her sister.  Will she though end up breaking her own heart in the process when new secrets unfold and what will happen when she learns the dark truth of what should have happened that night? If you love psychological thrillers, then you will absolutely love this book and like me will have you sitting on the edge of your seat with the cliffhanger ending.
